boy plays drum machine

So, as most of you know, I'm a child prodigy. The latest area of early mastery for me is combined DJ-ing and dancing. I'm basically an all-in-one dance party, able to lay down my own beats and jam to them. Before you get skeptical, check this out.

The Little Drummer Boy!

Well after all of those years that my Daddy had to sing "Pa-rum-pa-pa-pum," he has finally found a reason to like the song. It seems that this whole time the little drummer boy was in fact, me, his little boy. I may not have the widest range of beats, or the best rhythm developed yet, but I do know all that it takes to be a pretty cool drummer. Check it out:

So first, all great drummers make sure that they use both hands and both feet and hit everything in sight. So as you can see, I have the both hands thing going, but sadly, my feet don't quite reach the pedals yet. When they do though, watch out because as you can see, the purple puppy shoes are clearly going to be the next great trend in footwear.

The next thing that all great drummers do is look cool. You can't make it look like you're working really hard, or you end up looking constipated. Or worse yet, you end up looking all cramped up and seizure prone like that guy from the Romantics. So the key is to look like drumming comes so naturally to you that you could be looking over your shoulder, ordering a pizza, or reading a book while playing. It should like something like this:

Finally, you should look like you are having fun when playing drums. You definitely want to hit them hard and look like a bad animal, but you certainly don't want to look like you are in pain. You want to look like it's the best thing you could be doing with your time. Even better than writing your blog. So that would look something like this:

...this is the face that I make.

just like Daddy

I like burritos a lot. some might say too much, but I could probably
eat one every day... just don't let Mama hold it for me because I
clearly have this thing under control.

Beach Trip

There's really not much to say about this other than that I deeply love my Mama.

...well, I guess I could add that Mama took me to the beach and let me check out the tidepools at low tide. It's pretty crazy to try and manage a one-and-a-half-year-old while navigating slime-covered rocks while he tries to poke his fingers into every urchin, sea anemone, starfish, and crab in sight, but she did it and I made it out without injury. I guess you could say I have a Super Mama.

wait a minute!

my Daddy was supposed to take me to my first Seahawks game today, but
instead he decided to take Uncle Ben. that's okay with me I guess,
I'll just hope it's my turn next year.

ready to ride

sure my feet may not reach the pedals yet, but those minor details
aren't worrisome enough to keep me from riding.

all I need to do is secure the keys from Daddy when he's not looking,
and I'll be set. well that and getting him to stop following a foot
behind me with his "just-in-case-you-fall" arm of protection.

I think I'm ready.

my Daddy has a thing against babies trick or treating with their parents knowing that the baby's not likely to be the one eating the candy.

so needless to say, I'm not going trick or treating tonight, but as you can see, I'm not content to just hand out candy. I think I'm ready to at least give it a try on my own.

I don't quite get what all the fuss is about

so I know that today is Halloween and that everyone out there is all
geeked up to get free candy. that said, as I'm sucking on this sucker
I can't see why you'd pass up on a great night of college football for
a bag of this stuff. mine just tastes like plastic.

my companion

This double stroller is really nice. I can finally ride in comfort alongside a close friend. It's nice having someone you can depend on along for the ride who's there for you. It's neat to look over and know that you have someone to laugh with, share snacks with, and with whom to just kick it to use the kids' lingo. It made for a nice day with my cousin.

Oh yeah, and there's room for my buddy Hop on Pop too. He's the one in the middle.

Fox in Socks in stereo

When you want a really good sleep, sometimes one stuffed Dr. Seuss
character isn't enough...

a new kind of superhero

I've been working on a new identity as a superhero. i found these
sweet black and yellow tights (they must have cone from dad's days as
a Stryper fan) and figure I'm pretty much there.

the only thing I need to work on is my superpower. I've tried staring
at walls and my eyes fail to either see through them or shoot lasers,
so I'm still sussing it out.

the one thing that seems to truly hold up as extra special and super
powerful is my elastic belly. I can shoot it out a good three or
fifteen feet in front of my body. I haven't seen much use for this
yet, other than making Mama and Daddy laugh, but I'm sure I could
knock over an evildoer, or at the very least break through the walls that my
eyes have been so ineffective against.

seriously though, my dad rinsed the bottle out first...

I know nothing is quite as funny as some (seriously) underage
drinking, but when you add a bumblebee costume to the mix, the result
is absolute hilarity! let's just say when I see Mama or Daddy drinking
something that looks way more grownup than my sippy cup, I start
melting down until they cave in. so once again, Liam wins!

By the way, I'd try and explain why I'm wearing a bumblebee outfit
about a week before Halloween, but I'd rather you not ask.

this one will probably get picked on...

I don't know if they're enrolling kids at a younger age, but this kid
is definitely too short for his locker.
